About the Role
We are hiring a Managing Director, Performance to step into a top seat at one of Canada's fastest-growing performance marketing agencies. CDM has built an extraordinary foundation — a focused vertical, a strong brand, proprietary technology, and a client roster that keeps growing largely by word of mouth. What they need now is a a leader who can take that foundation and build something even bigger.
Reporting directly to the Co-Founders, you'll own the full business: revenue, operations, team, and strategy. You'll be the connective tissue between a high-performance delivery team and an ambitious growth agenda — someone who can think at the 30,000-foot level while still rolling up their sleeves when it matters. This is a company that moves fast, values extreme ownership, and holds itself to a high bar.
Business & Growth Leadership
Own and scale a $15M+ revenue portfolio, with accountability for:
Revenue growth (MRR/ARR)
Client retention (NRR)
Profitability (P&L ownership)
Identify and unlock growth opportunities across existing clients and new business capacity
Performance Marketing Leadership
Lead and optimize Paid Search (Google Ads) and Paid Social (Meta, TikTok, etc.)
Rebuild and elevate the paid search function to drive immediate revenue impact
Ensure best-in-class execution across full-funnel performance marketing
Operational Excellence & Org Design
Redesign the delivery model and playbook to support the next phase of growth
Build scalable systems for: campaign execution, performance tracking an client delivery
Lead org design and restructuring to improve efficiency and output
Team Leadership & Development
Lead a cross-functional team of 60+, including:
Paid Media (Search & Social)
Client Services
Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO)
Coach and develop senior leaders and middle management
Set and uphold high performance standards and accountability
Client Delivery & Experience
Ensure alignment between paid media teams and client services
Support strategy and execution for key enterprise accounts
Drive a holistic, integrated client delivery model
Systems, Data & Continuous Improvement
Partner with Data & AI leadership to integrate automation, advanced analytics and performance insights
Build a “Center of Excellence” to elevate training, best practices, and continuous improvement
About You
10+ years of progressive leadership experience, including P&L ownership at a growing agency, tech company, or services business
Proven experience scaling teams and operations in mid-sized agencies (100–400 employees)
Deep expertise in: Paid Search (Google Ads) and Paid Social (Meta, TikTok, etc.)
Experience owning or influencing P&L and revenue growth
Strong operator mindset (systems, processes, org design)
Track record of driving measurable business impact (revenue growth, efficiency gains, cost savings)
Experience leading change and transformation initiatives
Experience building and mentoring high-performing teams and leaders
High ownership, accountability, and integrity mindset
Experience integrating AI and automation into marketing operations
