About the Role
Bloom Finance Company is hiring a Business Development Manager (BDM) to support and scale its broker channel across BC. Reporting to the Head of National Broker Sales, this role is responsible for developing, managing, and expanding referral partnerships with mortgage brokers, driving consistent, high-quality deal flow into Bloom’s sales funnel.
This role is highly relationship-driven and field-oriented, combining territory management, education, and strategic account development.
Building and managing a strong pipeline of mortgage broker referral partners across BC
Developing deep, long-term relationships within a defined territory
Delivering broker education through training sessions, presentations, and one-on-one coaching
Ensuring partners clearly understand Bloom’s reverse mortgage products, process, and value proposition
Collaborating closely with Account Executives and underwriting teams to support deal progression from referral to funding
Identifying opportunities to expand existing relationships and grow share of wallet
Representing Bloom at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities
Monitoring market trends and competitor activity to inform strategy and execution
Meeting or exceeding monthly and quarterly targets tied to broker activation, referrals, and funded volume
Providing structured feedback from the field to improve Bloom’s broker tools, processes, and partner experience
About You
You are a relationship-led business development professional who understands the broker ecosystem and knows how to earn trust through consistency, expertise, and follow-through.
3+ years of experience in business development, mortgage lending, or financial services
Existing relationships within the BC mortgage broker community (strong asset)
A solid understanding of the Canadian mortgage process and broker distribution model
Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
A high level of self-motivation and comfort operating independently in a remote-first role
Willingness and ability to travel throughout BC for broker meetings and events
A genuine interest in helping older Canadians improve their financial well-being
An active BC or Ontario mortgage license (FSRA)

Base Salary: $80,000 - $90,000K
Variable Compensation: Up to $90,000 (performance-based, uncapped)
