Senior Accountant: Fixed Assets

We're excited to support our growing, national client in their search for a sharp and motivated Senior Accountant. In this role, you will cover a broad mix of the ledger — fixed assets, lease accounting, and commission and bonus calculations chief among them — and you'll do it in a fast-moving environment where accuracy and follow-through matter. What You'll Own
Maintain the fixed asset subledger end to end — additions, disposals, transfers, and depreciation
Run lease accounting under ASC 842, including lease classification, amortization schedules, and the related journal entries
Calculate and book commission and bonus accruals, coordinating with HR and Sales to keep payments accurate and on time
Prepare and post monthly journal entries with clean, complete supporting documentation
Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close, including reviewing entries for accuracy
Reconcile assigned balance sheet accounts and chase down discrepancies before they linger
Pull schedules and documentation to support internal and external audit requests
Spot opportunities to tighten accounting processes and strengthen internal controls
What You Bring
2–5+ years of progressive accounting experience
A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
A solid grounding in U.S. GAAP and core accounting principles
Hands-on experience with fixed asset accounting, lease accounting (ASC 842), and/or commission and bonus calculations a plus
Strong command of accounting software and Microsoft Excel
Sharp analytical, organizational, and problem-solving instincts
Clear, confident written and verbal communication
