Lead scheduling on one of AWS's hyperscale data center builds in Portland. Sit embedded with the AWS construction team as the Yellow Badge scheduler, owning the project schedule end-to-end — from baseline validation through weekly updates, change order time impact analysis, and critical path reviews. You'll be the schedule authority across GCs, design consultants, commissioning, and controls stakeholders, reporting up to the AMER Scheduling Controls (ASC) team.
This is a fast-moving program. We place senior schedulers on AWS in 10–20 days. If you've run mission critical schedules in P6 and want to be the trusted schedule voice on a marquee hyperscale project, this is the seat.
• Create, maintain, status, and report on the project construction schedule; deliver weekly reports to AWS.
• Validate baseline schedule submissions for scope coverage, logic, sequencing, and resource loading; produce written review comments.
• Run weekly QA/QC reviews and status updates on the program/master schedule.
• Perform Time Impact Analysis (TIA) on change orders and delay claims; lead schedule negotiations with the OAR and GC.
• Walk the site weekly, verify GC progress against the schedule, and flag deviations to the AWS project team and leadership.
• Run Critical Path and Earned Value (EVM) analysis; build fragnet what-if scenarios for the project team.
• Coach project managers, project controls specialists, GCs, and stakeholders on CPM scheduling and P6 fundamentals.
• Coordinate with Commissioning, Controls, and other AWS stakeholders so their scopes and durations are accurately represented.
• Read MEP single-line and full drawing sets to determine in/out of scope and assess merit of time extension requests.
• Produce execution schedule reports, monitor KPI adherence, and feed program-level reporting up to ASC.
• 8+ years full-time professional construction scheduling for an Owner or General Contractor in a mission critical environment.
• 4+ years as lead scheduler on large mission critical projects.
• Mid-to-advanced Primavera P6 proficiency.
• Ability to read and interpret full drawing sets including MEP single-line diagrams.
• Onsite in Portland, OR with up to 25% travel to other AWS sites.
• Pre-hire interview with AWS required.
• PSP, PMI-SP, or PMP certification.
• 5+ years as lead scheduler on large or hyperscale data center projects.
• 3+ years international mission critical project experience.
• Bilingual: Spanish or Portuguese.
• Primavera P6 (license and laptop provided by Data Center TALNT — P6 will not be installed on the AWS-issued laptop, so you'll operate dual machines).
• AWS-issued laptop for AWS systems and communication.
• Smartsheet-based intake (FLSS / FSS / AHSS) through the AMER Scheduling Controls team.
• Standard AWS jobsite safety requirements; backfill during PTO is the vendor's responsibility.
• Embedded directly with AWS — Yellow Badge access, Owner-side influence, no GC layer.
• Hyperscale program scale: data center work that materially advances your résumé.
