Construction Manager - VA

Position Summary

The Construction Manager will oversee and drive day-to-day construction operations on the Oracle Project in Ashburn, VA, a flagship hyperscale data center build and one of the most high-profile mission critical construction projects in the US. You will manage trade contractors, enforce schedule and quality standards, and coordinate across disciplines to deliver Tier 1 through Tier 5 data center infrastructure on time and to specification. This role requires someone who thrives in fast-paced, large-scale environments and can lead complex builds with multiple concurrent work fronts.

Key Responsibilities

•       Manage all aspects of field construction operations for assigned scope including civil, structural, architectural, MEP, and specialty systems

•       Coordinate and supervise multiple trade contractors and self-perform crews across concurrent work areas and phases

•       Drive adherence to the master construction schedule through daily planning, look-ahead scheduling, and constraint identification

•       Conduct daily site walks, toolbox talks, and progress reporting to project leadership and owner representatives

•       Enforce jobsite safety standards in compliance with OSHA, site specific safety plans, and owner HSE requirements

•       Manage RFI, submittal, and change order processes in collaboration with project controls and engineering teams

•       Coordinate with QA/QC and commissioning teams to ensure installation quality and system readiness for testing

•       Oversee material procurement tracking, laydown area management, and equipment logistics for critical path activities

•       Lead subcontractor coordination meetings, pull planning sessions, and weekly owner progress meetings

•       Support phased turnover by ensuring each data hall and supporting infrastructure meets punch list closure and documentation requirements

Qualifications & Requirements

•       2+ years of construction management experience on mission critical data center projects or battery/energy storage plant construction

•       Prior hyperscale data center experience strongly preferred (AWS, Oracle, Meta, Microsoft, Google)

•       Proven track record managing large scale, fast-track construction projects with budgets exceeding $50M

•       Deep understanding of Tier 1 through Tier 5 data center design, construction sequencing, and system interdependencies

•       Strong knowledge of MEP systems installation in critical environments including medium voltage electrical, mechanical cooling, and fire protection

•       Experience with Procore, Primavera P6, Bluebeam, and/or BIM 360 for project management and document control

•       Demonstrated ability to lead and coordinate multiple trade partners simultaneously on active job sites

•       Strong understanding of lean construction principles and pull planning methodologies
