Sr. Creative Strategist

About the Company
Our client is a fast-growing DTC health and wellness brand, hiring for a Senior Creative Strategist to own ideation, strategy, production workflow, and delivery of high-volume paid social creative across Meta, TikTok, CTV, and other performance channels.

Role Overview
This is a fully remote Senior Creative Strategist (Performance Creative) role, reporting to the Director of Performance Creative. The role blends strategist, producer, and project manager. This person will brief UGC creators, designers, and editors, complete 5-7 new ad concepts per day, turn product benefits and science into compelling narratives, lead UGC creators, and work with the performance creative team to deliver a consistent stream of test-ready ads. The ideal candidate is deeply fluent in DTC performance creative, understands hooks, influencer/whitelisting script angles, pacing, and supplement compliance, and thrives in a fast-paced, test-and-iterate environment.

Responsibilities

Daily Creative Ideation & Strategy

• Generate 5-7 testable performance ad concepts per day.

• Additional variations per concept with different hooks, end caps, aspect ratios, etc.

• Identify new trends, formats, and storytelling frameworks across Meta, TikTok, and YouTube.

• Turn product benefits, absorption, science, efficacy, outcomes, into clear, emotional consumer-focused narratives.

• Maintain and prioritize a high-volume creative pipeline aligned to weekly testing sprints.

• Conduct ongoing customer, competitor, and market research to uncover new pain points, desires, objections, hooks, angles, and creative opportunities.

Production Management

• Manage a UGC talent pool, sourcing, negotiating, and coordinating with creators.

• Write clear briefs, storyboards, scripts, and on-camera directions for creators.

• Oversee video editors to execute concepts quickly and on brand.

• Own timelines, organization, deliverables, and communication across all parties.

• Ensure every concept moves smoothly from ideation to filming to editing to delivery.

Quality Control & Delivery

• Review all footage, rough cuts, and final edits before routing to the Director of Performance Creative.

• Ensure every ad meets performance standards: scroll-stopping hooks, fast pacing, high scientific clarity, platform-native style, and clear CTA and messaging hierarchy.

• Deliver a consistent weekly output of multiple finished ad variations.

Performance Feedback Loop

• Partner closely with the Director of Performance Creative to analyze creative performance, identify winning hooks and angles, rapidly iterate on winners, and sunset underperformers.

• Maintain a deep understanding of the customer, objections, and decision psychology.

• Translate performance data into clear creative hypotheses and actionable briefs for the next testing cycle.

Key Performance Indicators

• Weekly concept ideation output (20+ concepts/week).

• High concept hit rate.

• Developing processes to increase speed from concept to in-market.

• Reliability of deadlines and workflow.

• Consistent improvement in Thumbstop Ratio, CTR, CVR, CAC, and AOV through data-driven creative iteration.

• 3-5 years minimum experience in DTC performance creative (health, wellness, beauty, CPG preferred).

• Expert with hooks, UGC direction, storytelling, scripting, and concepting.

• Obsessed with studying winning ads and reverse-engineering patterns.

• Extremely organized and able to manage multiple creative partners.

• Analytical thinker who loves seeing creative data and turning it into insights.

• Strong communicator, self-directed operator, and creative problem-solver.

• Comfortable in a high-speed environment with daily deliverables.

Compliance & Technical Requirements

• Understanding of Meta ad policies for wellness and supplements.

• Familiarity with FTC/ASA guidelines for testimonials and claims.

• Ability to write compliant but persuasive science-backed messaging.
