Copywriter & Content Strategist
Remote
$80,000 - $100,000
About the Company
Our client is an American-made and owned HVAC air filter company, selling replacement air filters direct to consumers in every standard size, including custom, with a strong customer review base.
Role Overview
This is a remote, contract-to-hire CopyWriter / Content Strategist role. This person will build and maintain the story bank that feeds both the paid ads and creator network flywheels, turning credible research into audience-specific messaging angles that the rest of the team can immediately act on.
Responsibilities
- Source and vet research on clean air and health.
- Work from a defined list of niches and produce roughly ten distinct messaging angles/headlines per niche, each grounded in a specific research finding.
- Apply the plain language, value, hook process to every headline so it's usable as-is by the creative producer and creators, not raw research.
- Maintain the story bank as an ongoing, living document organized by niche, adding new angles as research surfaces and retiring angles once a niche is exhausted.
- Lead narrative and concept direction for major campaigns and TV/streaming spots.
- Hand off headlines to the creative producer for paid ad concepting and the influencer manager for creator cohort briefing.
- Flag emerging niches or audience cohorts back to the influencer manager during periodic syncs.
Who They're Looking For
- Ad or social script writing experience.
- Demonstrated ability to translate research into a single accessible, compelling sentence.
1-Week Project (Compensated)
Choose two niches and research different messaging angles using research on air quality or other relevant information. The messaging angles should be an interesting take on why the chosen niche should care about air filters or improving their air quality. The final deliverable should be 10 angles across two niches (20 angles total) written in a single headline. This project is meant to demonstrate the ability to translate research into a single accessible, compelling sentence.
Example headline: You will do more to improve a country's health by cleaning up the air than by curing [FLAG: example headline references a specific country and appears to cut off mid-sentence in your source, confirm the full example before sharing externally]
