Product Marketing Manager
San Francisco, CA
$130,000 - $170,000
We're partnered with YC Co-founders out of the Bay Area that have built a fast-growing cybersecurity company. They've hit 7-figures ARR in under a year, protecting several million users across tens of thousands of businesses with extremely low churn. They sell through the MSP channel and are targeting an impressive ARR over the next 12 months. The team is small and high-caliber, built from operators who have scaled some of the top security and fintech companies in the world.
They are hiring their first dedicated Product Marketing Manager - an early, high-ownership seat where this person will shape how the market understands the product and how efficiently the sales team can close. Because the company sells through MSPs who then sell to their own clients, the PMM will need to think in two layers: the MSP who buys, and the end customer they need to convince.
The Role:
- Develop and maintain the company's messaging and positioning framework, keeping it sharp as the product and market evolve
- Collaborate with Product on feature launches - from naming and positioning through to the assets that drive adoption
- Build the sales enablement toolkit - battle cards, talk tracks, objection handling, and presentation decks that help the revenue team win
- Produce high-quality content that supports demand and moves deals - case studies, comparison pages, one-pagers, and campaign materials
- Develop channel-ready materials that MSPs can use to sell the product to their own client base
- Mine customer conversations, call recordings, and competitive intelligence to continuously sharpen messaging
- Define and build out the product marketing function as the company scales
They're Looking For:
- 3-6 years of B2B product marketing experience, with a preference for candidates who have marketed to a technical buyer
- Proven end-to-end ownership of messaging and positioning - not just contributing to it
- Demonstrated ability to build sales enablement assets a quota-carrying team actually uses
- Experience working directly with Product and Engineering to bring technical products to market
- Strong writing and editorial instincts - clean, precise copy with a high bar
- Comfortable building from zero in an ambiguous, fast-moving environment
- Evidence-driven - pulls signal from the field and makes decisions without waiting for perfect information
Nice to Have:
- Background in cybersecurity, identity security, or technical infrastructure
- Familiarity with channel or partner-led GTM motions (MSPs, resellers, distributors)
- Experience standing up or formalizing a PMM function from scratch
Compensation and Benefits:
- Base salary: $130,000 - $170,000
- Equity
- Healthcare, dental, and vision
- Daily lunch in the office
- 401K
- Commuting stipend
- Equinox discount
- On-site in San Francisco
