Our client is a fast-growing ReCommerce marketplace transforming how retailers manage returned and excess inventory through a more efficient, tech-enabled resale model.

They’re scaling rapidly at the intersection of retail, sustainability, and logistics, and are building the financial infrastructure to support the next stage of growth.

We’re looking for a Controller to join the team! Reporting into the CFO, you’ll own core accounting operations, financial reporting, compliance, and process improvement—helping build a scalable finance function in a high-growth environment.

What you’ll do:

Oversee day-to-day accounting operations including A/R, A/P, GL, inventory accounting, and payroll
Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting in accordance with GAAP
Manage audits, tax compliance, and internal controls across the business
Own treasury operations including cash flow forecasting and banking relationships
Evaluate and improve financial systems, reporting processes, and ERP infrastructure
Build and develop the accounting team as the company scales

What we’re looking for:

10+ years of progressive finance/accounting experience
3–5+ years in a senior finance leadership role within a high-growth startup
CPA required with strong GAAP and financial reporting expertise
Hands-on experience across accounting operations, treasury, tax, and compliance
Strong systems knowledge across ERP/accounting tools
Hands-on leader with a startup mindset and strong team-building ability

Nice to have:

Experience in eCommerce marketplace, retail tech, or inventory-driven businesses
Background implementing or upgrading ERP systems
Exposure to investor or lender reporting

Location: Hybrid — Toronto (2 days/week)
