Founding Account Executive

We are seeking a Business Development Manager to drive revenue growth for a rapidly expanding healthcare technology company. This role is focused on building strategic partnerships and generating new business with employers, HR leaders, and benefits advisors across Canada.
You will own the full sales cycle, from prospecting and relationship development to proposal, negotiation, and close. The ideal candidate brings deep experience selling healthcare technology, employee benefits solutions, or related services and understands how to navigate complex, consultative sales processes.

7+ years of B2B sales experience with consistent revenue achievement
Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles with deal sizes of $50K+
Strong understanding of the Canadian group benefits ecosystem
Proven ability to engage senior decision-makers including CEOs, CFOs, and HR leaders
Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
Highly organized with strong pipeline management and CRM discipline
Nice to Have
Experience working within health benefits brokerages, insurers, or benefits technology companies
Knowledge of digital health, telemedicine, or virtual care solutions
Experience building or managing broker or channel partner referral networks
Build and manage a full B2B sales pipeline targeting employers, HR teams, and benefits consultants
Develop strong relationships with benefits brokers and channel partners to generate new opportunities
Lead the full sales cycle including discovery, product demonstrations, proposal development, and contract negotiation
Manage complex, multi-stakeholder sales processes within mid-market and enterprise organizations
Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and broker networks
Collaborate with marketing and leadership to refine messaging and sales strategy
Maintain accurate forecasting and pipeline management within CRM systems
Partner with internal teams to ensure smooth onboarding and long-term client success
