Senior Android Engineer - (Mobile)

We’re partnered with a category-defining sleep technology company to help them hire a Senior Mobile Android Engineer who will own and elevate the Android experience for a globally distributed consumer hardware + software product. This team is building a connected sleep platform that blends hardware, firmware, and machine learning into a seamless mobile-first experience used by hundreds of thousands of members worldwide.
In this role, you’ll work on the primary user touchpoint - the Android app. You’ll ship high-quality, pixel-perfect features, optimize performance, and ensure stability at scale. You’ll collaborate closely with Backend, Firmware, and ML engineers, as well as Product, Hardware, Growth, and executive leadership.
You’ll help raise the bar on code quality and architecture through thoughtful reviews, scalable design patterns, and a strong focus on performance and user experience. If you enjoy building polished consumer apps that interact with real-world hardware and data, this role offers meaningful ownership and technical depth.
Qualifications
4+ years shipping high-quality features in native Android applications
Strong proficiency in Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, Coroutines, Flow, and MVVM or MVI
Experience building scalable, testable, production-grade mobile applications
Demonstrated ability to maintain stability and performance in fast-paced environments
Experience collaborating cross-functionally with backend and product teams
High standards for product quality, UX, and code craftsmanship
Nice to Haves
Background working on hardware-connected or IoT products
Experience building custom UI components in Compose
Experience with health, wellness, or medical-related applications
Experience in high-growth startup environments
