Fractional Growth Marketer

About the Company
Our client exists to inspire greater wellness through simple acts, believing comfortable compression socks can be one of those acts, built for people who want an effortless way to feel better every day. The approach is built around three ideas: comfort-first compression innovation, an expansive range of sizes and styles designed for all people, and a customer-experience centered focus.
Role Overview
Our client is looking for a fractional, contract Growth Marketing lead (Paid Acquisition), engaged through the end of 2026 with an option to extend into Q1 2027. The objective is to deliver an assessment of the client's Meta and Google acquisition engine and a prioritized action plan by late November 2026. If the client agrees with the recommendations, the same person is positioned to lead execution through Q1, with support from internal resources and a paid agency.
Phase 1: Assessment and Action Plan (weeks 1 to 3)
The goal is a full audit of the following:
- Unit economics: Customer LTV, contribution margin, CAC, and blended vs. paid-attributed CAC by channel.
- Account structure across Meta and Google: campaign architecture, audiences, bidding, budget allocation, attribution setup, and whether spend share tracks new-customer share by channel.
- Acquisition economics: CAC by channel against the ceiling, payback, new vs. returning revenue, and a bridge that attributes year-over-year change to acquisition, retention, and mix, so the team knows which lever actually moved the number.
- Creative and testing system: volume, velocity, hit rate, how briefs flow from the in-house designer to the agency, and what is and isn't working.
- Agency performance: what the current paid media agency is accountable for, how they're measured, and where they add or lose value.
- What the client acquires on: which products and bundles clear first-order breakeven, which only pay back with repeat, and what should lead acquisition.
- Overall strategy: ranked opportunities inside the existing engine, what to stop doing, and a plain statement if the data says the constraint sits outside paid media (retention, product, pricing).
Written Deliverable
A written report that answers three questions: what is actually happening across paid social and search, why, and what to do about it. It should include:
- A short executive summary.
- The numbers behind it: where revenue came from and where it went, how much each channel spends versus how many customers it brings in, and what the client can afford to pay for a customer versus what it pays today.
- A ranked list of opportunities, each with a rough size of prize and level of effort.
- A step-by-step plan: what to fix first, what to build next, and what to scale once it's proven, with a named owner for each action.
- A clear call on the current agency: keep, restructure, or replace.
- Quick wins the client can run during BFCM without disrupting the current plan.
Phase 2 (optional): Execution, post-Holiday
Roughly December 2026 through May 2027. The contractor owns the acquisition engine day to day: directs the current agency or runs the transition to a replacement, owns channel targets and reporting, and hands off cleanly to the internal team. Scoped and priced separately once Phase 1 lands.
Time and Terms
Phase 1 should be scoped as a fixed-fee project tied to delivery of the assessment and action plan by the agreed deadline. Candidates can propose the hours required.
