Director of Social & Integrated Marketing
Remote - USA
$100,000 - $130,000
About the Company
Our client is a science-first DTC beauty brand built on proprietary technology for elastin renewal. The brand makes clinically tested formulas for hair, brows and lashes that support all four stages of the natural hair growth cycle. It sells through its own Shopify Plus store, Amazon and online retail to a loyal community of high-performance beauty seekers: people who want results they can see and science they can trust. The brand competes on clinical efficacy, not marketing fluff, and the team is lean, profitable and moving fast.
Role Overview
This is a Director of Social & Integrated Marketing role, remote (US), with occasional time onsite in Boulder, CO. This person will build a creator, affiliate and community engine that drives real revenue, with AI doing the heavy lifting and people making every final call.
They will own the connected ecosystem of channels that builds community, drives discovery and turns top-of-funnel attention into lasting brand affinity. That means influencer, UGC, affiliate, community and gifting, plus strategic oversight of organic social, where the Social Media Manager runs day-to-day execution. Every channel they lead needs a job tied to a measurable result. They will build, test and defend a strategy that connects creator spend to revenue and contribution margin, not just reach. They will also build the AI workflows that let a lean team source, brief, review and report on creators at a scale that used to take a full department, while people keep control of judgment, brand voice and every final approval.
Responsibilities
- Integrated strategy: Build and own one coherent strategy across influencer, UGC, affiliate and community, and present performance, learnings and recommendations to leadership on a regular cadence.
- ROI on every dollar: Model each creator and affiliate program to contribution margin after product cost, ad spend, commissions, platform and manager fees, samples and incentives, then defend or pivot based on the data.
- Influencer partnerships: Source, vet and manage a roster of creators aligned with a 40+ core consumer and science-backed positioning, with usage rights and whitelisting built into every deal.
- UGC pipeline: Run a monthly production cadence of 20+ assets for paid media, coordinating hooks, 4:5 and 9:16 formats and dark posting with the ads team, and grounding every brief in real customer language.
- Affiliate and attribution: Own the affiliate program across Aspire, ShopMy and Trybe, from commission structure to reporting, and separate true channel-driven revenue from ad-assisted conversions.
- Creator program engines: Track acquisition, activation and retention as three connected engines, from outreach and acceptance rates to days to first live asset, creator GMV and creator ad ROAS.
- Community and gifting: Own the ShopMy gifting program, monthly lookbooks against a COGS budget, dermatologist and KOL outreach, and ambassador and activation work with the Community Strategist.
- AI workflows: Build AI-assisted sourcing, outreach tracking, weekly ranked briefs, footage editing pilots and spend pacing reports, with claims, FTC disclosure and usage rights checks baked in and a person approving every message sent and dollar committed.
- Team and cross-functional lead: Set direction for organic social, train the team on workflows and AI skills, and partner with paid media, ecommerce, retention and creative on launches and content calendars.
Who They're Looking For
- 5+ years in influencer, affiliate, community or integrated marketing, ideally at a DTC beauty, wellness or lifestyle brand or an agency serving those categories.
- A track record of tying creator spend to revenue and contribution margin, and can walk through the numbers.
- Understands affiliate attribution well enough to explain how ad spend inflates affiliate metrics and how to separate the two.
- Has worked hands-on in Aspire, ShopMy, Trybe or a comparable influencer and affiliate platform.
- Knows usage rights, whitelisting and dark posting mechanics on Meta and TikTok, and has managed UGC at scale from brief to paid media handoff.
- Pulls and interprets their own data in Triple Whale or similar without waiting on an analyst.
- Uses AI tools like Claude or ChatGPT daily and can show a workflow they documented and handed off to AI, along with where they kept human approval and how they checked the output.
- Writes sharp creator briefs and strategy decks, runs multiple workstreams without dropping details, and changes course when the data says to.
This role is ideal for a revenue-minded creator marketer who builds systems, not just relationships, and wants AI to raise a lean team's ceiling without replacing its taste.
